Unvaccinated Father’s Permission to Visit His Child Is Denied | Viral News!
The right to see his 12-year-old child has been temporarily taken away from a Canadian parent who has not been vaccinated against Covid.
His visits would not be in the child’s “best interest,” according to the judge.
It was in response to the father’s plea to extend his holiday visitation time.
According to a family law expert, the decision is the first to deprive a parent of access rights based on immunization.
The father’s visiting rights are suspended until February, unless he decides to get vaccinated, according to the judge’s order, which was made at the end of last month in Quebec province.
The mother, who had initially opposed the father’s plea to prolong his visitation time, told the court she had lately found he was unvaccinated, citing his anti-vaccine social media posts as evidence.
The mother shares her home with her spouse and two additional children who are not yet immunized.
Because of the recent spike of Covid cases in French-speaking Quebec, the judge decided it was not “in the child’s best interest” to have contact with their father.
Quebec, which has seen the largest incidence of Covid-related deaths in Canada, stated this week that residents who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 will face a levy.
