The federal government is unlikely to make another stimulus payment very soon. The Universal Basic Income Program

According to The Sun, in order to qualify for stimulus payments in the United States, an individual must meet certain income conditions and file a federal tax return. Individuals and married couples with taxable earnings of up to $75,000 and $150,000, respectively, are eligible for the stimulus payment. The amount of stimulus money that a family may receive is determined by how many tax refunds they file.


The Newark, New Jersey, UBI program was recently expanded to 400 residents. Each resident will earn $12,000 over the course of two years from the programme. Approximately half of the program’s participants will earn $250 every two weeks. Participants must be at least 18 years old, earn at least 200 percent of the federal poverty level, and demonstrate financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
