The American Rescue Plan law increased the tax credit from $2,000 to $3,000 for the 2020 tax year.
The IRS has already stated that delays are expected for the remaining 2022 tax credit payments.
The pandemic “continues to cause issues,” said IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig.
