Texas Weatherization Rebate: Here’s How to Get Yours
Are you a Texas resident with high residential energy costs? A program may be able to assist you if you belong to a low-income household, particularly if you are elderly, disabled, or have young children. The Texas Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) aims to increase the energy efficiency of the residences that are eligible families and individuals.
The Texas Weatherization Assistance Program is designed to assist low-income seniors, disabled adults, and families in weatherizing their homes. The program is administered through contracts with 21 non-profit organizations and local governments with experience in weatherization service delivery. The WAP services are accessible in each of the state’s 254 counties.
The Weatherization Assistance Program provides a variety of services aimed at lowering residential energy costs and improving energy efficiency. These activities include caulking, weather stripping, adding insulation to ceilings, walls, and floors, repairing gaps in the building envelope, installing ductwork, and other similar measures.
