The 50-year-old actress has a message for her fans, two days after her husband Will Smith reportedly approached Chris Rock to life onstage at the 2022 Oscars, smacking him in the face over a joke the comedian made about Jada’s shaved head.
“This is a season for healing, and I’m here for it,” she wrote on Instagram.

According to an ET source, the actress left it at that. “I’m delighted Will stood up for me,” Jada said, adding that she was “hurt by Chris’ statement.”
“In the past, Chris has made jokes about Jada,” the source stated, “which increased to her displeasure.”
Will has no regrets about standing up for Jada, but he does regret how he did so. He acted on the spur of the moment.”
In a statement released Monday night, the Oscar winner apologised for his actions, saying, “Violence in all of its forms is corrosive and destructive.”
“My behaviour at the Academy Awards last night was both terrible and inexcusable. Jokes about my health are expected in the work, but one regarding Jada’s condition was too much for me to handle, and I responded emotionally “Jada Pinkett Smith’s battle with alopecia was mentioned by the King Richard actress.
The 53-year-old actor then issued a direct apology to Chris, something he did not do when accepting the Oscar for Best Actor from the crowd at the Academy Awards.
He wrote, “I’d like to openly apologise to you, Chris.” “I was both out of line and incorrect. I’m embarrassed, and my actions do not reflect the guy I aspire to be. Violence has no place in a world of love and peace.”

Will went on to apologise to the Academy, as well as producers, attendees, fans, those involved with his film, and the Williams family, who are the inspiration for King Richard. “I profoundly regret that my actions have marred what has otherwise been a beautiful journey for all of us,” he said. “I’m still working on myself.”
While the movie actor has expressed his sorrow, it does not appear that his apology to Chris has made things better between them. According to ET, Chris and Will have not reconciled their differences.
Meanwhile, another source tells ET that removing Will from the Oscars after the slap was discussed, but the choice was difficult to make during the live event due to the chaos.
