Russia Vows to ‘Respond’ to BAE’s Business Conduct in Ukraine

According to Russia, its military will consider UK defense firm established in Ukraine, BAE Systems, as a “object of special attention” .
The production of light artillery in the nation is one of the agreements that BAE has struck to increase the flow of weapons and equipment to Kyiv. Russians saw this “in a negative light” according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.The majority of the weapons that the UK and other countries shipped to Ukraine were produced by BAE.
Britain has grown to be a significant defense supplier to Ukraine since Russia invaded the nation in February 2022. According to information provided to the BBC, BAE is in discussions about perhaps opening an office or manufacturing in Ukraine.
The company claimed that by taking this action, it will be able to directly engage with Ukraine to look for possible partners and develop certain weapons there. Following a meeting with Charles Woodburn, the CEO of BAE, Mr. Zelensky made the statement. According to the Kremlin spokesman, the production of foreign weapons in Ukraine “cannot fundamentally change the situation”.

Collaborating with BAE Systems for Defense and Jobs

A declaration of intent was signed by Sweden and Ukraine to increase cooperation in the manufacture, use, maintenance, training, and repair of CV90 armored vehicles, which are currently made by BAE Systems’ Hägglunds subsidiary in Sweden.
In May, Mr. Zelensky stated that BAE and Kyiv were developing a strategy for the corporation to establish a presence in Ukraine.

The BAE company already offers training and maintenance services to Ukraine’s military, and since February 2022, the share price of BAE has increased by more than 75%.
