Prince Harry has been gone from the royal family for more than two years, and he has no plans to return.
The world was taken by surprise when Prince Harry, the brother of Prince William, revealed in January 2020 that he and his wife, Meghan Markle, would be stepping down from their royal responsibilities.
When it was revealed that Prince Harry is fighting a Home Office decision that barred him and his family from getting their own security whenever they set foot on British land earlier this year, he made headlines once again.
According to a spokeswoman for the Duke of Sussex, Harry still considers the United Kingdom to be his home, but he does not feel secure there.

According to Woman’s Day New Zealand’s April 4, 2022 issue, Prince Harry expressed remorse for not being by Queen Elizabeth’s side during the Service of Remembrance for the late Prince Philip, which took place earlier this week.
According to an anonymous insider who spoke to the entertainment news magazine, Prince Harry “truly regrets” not attending the ceremony after witnessing the 95-year-old monarch’s visibly distressed demeanour.
An unidentified palace source also commented on Prince Harry’s absence from the emotional church service at Westminster Abbey, saying: “The absence of Prince Harry was obvious as the rest of his cousins were seen at the church supporting each other through the sombre ceremony, which included Zara Tindall, Princess Eugenie, and Princess Beatrice.”
Prince Harry was not present for the emotional church service at Westminster Abbey. The oldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson was even spotted crying and hiding her face with her Order of Service, which was afterwards taken away by security personnel.
Prince Harry has not yet responded to claims that he “truly regrets” not attending Prince Philip’s funeral ceremony because of his continuing security dispute with the British government, according to the Daily Telegraph.

While this was happening, Thomas Markle, host of the podcast Remarkable Friends, attacked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their decision not to attend the funeral service for the late Prince Philip.
The father of the former Suits actress, together with celebrity photographer Karl Larsen, referred to their absence as “a smack in the face” to Queen Elizabeth II, according to the press.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry was unable to fly because he would be unable to obtain personal protective security while in the United Kingdom, even if he paid for it himself.
Most, if not all, royal fans are aware that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex forfeited their right to publicly-funded royal protection when they decided to step down from their royal duties in 2017.
