Mommy Vloggers Arrested on Child Abuse Charges
Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt, well-known parenting and lifestyle influencers on YouTube, found themselves in a disturbing legal situation as they were arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of child abuse each in the state of Utah.
The chain of events leading to their arrests began when the Santa Clara police received an alarming dispatch call reporting a child in distress.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered a deeply troubling sight: a malnourished and emaciated juvenile with visible open wounds and duct tape wrapped around their extremities.
The gravity of the situation prompted an immediate decision to transport the child to a hospital for urgent medical attention.
Further investigations at Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt’s residence unveiled an equally distressing scenario. Another child, displaying similar signs of maltreatment and neglect, was identified and rushed to a hospital as well.
In addition to the dire physical condition of these children, authorities also uncovered evidence that aligned with the visible marks of abuse found on the juveniles.
In a commendable and swift response to the unfolding crisis, investigators obtained a search warrant for the home, leading to the rescue of a total of four children from the premises. Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt were subsequently taken into custody by the authorities.

Family Speaks Out: Shari Franke’s Relief and Call for Privacy
The situation took a personal and emotional turn when Shari Franke, one of Ruby Franke’s daughters, expressed her relief on social media, indicating that the family had reported their concerns to both the police and Child Protective Services (CPS) over an extended period.
She emphasized her gratitude that justice was finally being served, although she acknowledged that there was still a long road ahead for the children’s recovery and well-being. Shari also appealed for privacy for her family during this challenging time.
Furthermore, Ruby Franke’s sisters came forward with a statement on Instagram, revealing that they had chosen to remain silent for three years out of concern for the children’s safety. They underscored the necessity of the arrests and emphasized that the children were now safe from harm.
Prior to their joint YouTube channel, ConneXions, Ruby Franke had gained popularity through her parenting-focused channel called “8 Passengers,” where she openly shared her experiences of raising her six children with her husband.
In their ConneXions content, the pair aimed to provide guidance on successfully navigating life, including discussions on subjects such as combating victimhood and taking personal responsibility for one’s actions.
