Which Businesses Remain Open on Labor Day?

Major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Kroger will carry on with business as usual.

The majority of Walgreens and CVS locations will operate during regular business hours, however it is important to call ahead in case pharmacy hours are changed or there are brief closures.

However, on this day, businesses like Costco will be closed.

Are Banks and Governmental Offices Operating on Labor Day?

For Labor Day, the United States Postal Service will stop delivering mail, and UPS will also be closed, with the exception of Express Critical services.

While FedEx Office will run on modified hours, FedEx Custom Critical will remain open.

Banks will be closed on Labor Day because it is one of the 11 federal banking holidays. Customers can still access ATMs and online banking services, though.

On Monday, a number of additional governmental organizations and institutions will be closed.
