While the first episode of the new season of Fox’s “The Masked Singer” hasn’t yet aired, the reality hit has already created a commotion with a surprise unmasking during the taping of the show’s recording session.
Following the announcement that Rudy Giuliani would be one of the first candidates to leave the show in the forthcoming Season 7 premiere, two of the show’s judges, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke, stormed off the stage in disgust, according to Deadline.
While Jeong and Thicke were escorted out of the building, the other two judges, Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger remained and engaged in conversation with the former mayor of New York, according to the story.
The identity of Giuliani’s costumed persona or the song that sent him home early was not revealed by Deadline.
The premiere date for the new season is slated for March 9.
The dramatic celebrity unmaskings that have taken place in the popular singing competition have been known to dazzle the judges, spectators, and even the show’s hosts.
When Sarah Palin was revealed to be the Bear during Season 3, host Nick Cannon couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
“I think this is the most surprised I’ve ever been on this show,” he had previously stated.
