James Van Der Beek, an actor, says he is happy with his decision to move from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas. Van Der Beek said that moving his family was “grounding” for them. He told People magazine, “I know it’s been very grounding for me, and I think it’s been the same for the kids.
It’s given them a different kind of education that we couldn’t have given them in a classroom.” In June, the actor talked to Fox News Digital about how much time he spends with his six children and wife Kimberly, whom he married in 2010.
“It’s wonderful. We now have a lot more space “Van Der Beek said what was going on right now. “We all need to be more connected to nature. It’s been a great change, and the kids couldn’t be happier.”
Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly have decided to move to Texas in 2020 from Los Angeles. The reason he moved was that his family wanted to live closer to nature. The “Rules of Attraction” star says that so far, life has been “quite different.”
He told Fox News Digital, “The parks have been great.” “We have been to both state and national parks. Moving out of the city wasn’t the only reason we liked having more space right outside our door. This is a very different way to live.”
The “Dawson Creek” star told People magazine that leaving the city life of California for a more rural one has been the biggest change. “Just things we all know, like what phase the moon is in because we go outside and look,” he said.
“I feel like we’re connected to these natural cycles,” he said, referring to the fact that his family had decided to move to Texas. “When it started to rain in Los Angeles, I thought, “Oh, man, I’ll be 20 minutes late because it’s raining.” This is a gift “Van Der Beek said.
Olivia, 12, Joshua, 10, Annabel, 8, Emilia, 6, Gwendolyn, 4, and Jeremiah are the actor’s children with his wife, Kimberly.
“They are going back and forth. They sing, “Rain, rain, come today!” and run outside because we need it “Van Der Beek spoke about his children. “It just connected us to the natural life cycles all around us, not just to nature.”

The actor from “Varsity Blues” said that leaving the busy city of Los Angeles also meant giving up food delivery. “When we moved to Texas, one of the things we lost was any kind of food delivery service,” he said. So, we started cooking a lot more, which the kids like.
The Van Der Beek family recently celebrated Jeremiah Van Der Beek’s first birthday in Texas. “It may sound strange, but when he got there, we thought, ‘Oh my god, how did we live without him?’
” Van der Beek explained. “That’s crazy since we already have five kids. But after everything that had happened before him, the fact that he was a boy was very healing for us. And he gives the family a beautiful place to stand.”
He went on: “Everything is bigger in Texas. By far, he’s the biggest baby we’ve ever had. He’s been a great help. No matter how much sleep he costs, and how much more he costs, he is well worth it.”
