In New York City, a Thanksgiving Fire Kills Two People and Badly Injures Two More

On Thanksgiving Day, a fire in an apartment in the New York City borough of The Bronx killed two people and badly injured two more, according to officials.

The fire broke out around 5:30 a.m. on the second floor of a five-story structure in the Bronx’s Mount Hope area, killing a 60-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, according to the New York Post.

Odalys Aramboles, 20, and Perfecto Aramboles, 60, were identified as the victims by police, according to WABC-TV.

The other two casualties were identified as a 62-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman, both of whom were listed in critical condition at local hospitals.

An NYPD spokesperson informed WPIX-TV that investigators believe all four murders are related.

The source of the fire is still being investigated, but investigators believe it was started by an electrical fire in a hallway closet next to the kitchen.
