In a New Interview, Naomi Judd’s Daughter Ashley Reveals That Her Mother Died From a Self-inflicted Firearm Wound!
Naomi Judd, a country music legend who died on April 30 at the age of 75, died of a self-inflicted handgun wound, according to her daughter, Ashley Judd.
Ashley Judd spoke with Diane Sawyer on “Good Morning America” about her mother’s passing and how the Judd family has been dealing in the weeks afterward.
Her family, she added, wanted to keep the flow of information about the death under control before an autopsy was performed.
Ashley told Sawyer, “She used a weapon…my mother used a pistol.” “So it’s the piece of information we’re really hesitant to share, but recognize that if we don’t say it, someone else will.”
Ashley explained that her family asked her to speak about her mother’s passing in order to raise awareness about the sickness and point people in the right direction.
“When we’re talking about mental illness, it’s very important to be clear and to make the distinction between our loved one and the disease,” she said, adding, “When we’re talking about mental illness,
it’s very important to be clear and to make the distinction between our loved one and the disease.” It’s extremely real, and it lies; it’s ferocious.”
Despite her mother’s impending induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ashley said she couldn’t keep fighting the sickness.
“Our mother couldn’t wait till her colleagues inducted her into the Hall of Fame,” she explained. “That was the degree of the disaster of what was going on inside of her since the barrier between their admiration for her and the deception the sickness told her couldn’t pierce into her heart.”
Ashley also talked about her mother’s death.
She described the day as “mixed.” “When I’m home in Tennessee, I visit with my mother and father every day, so I was at the house visiting like I do every day.” ‘Will you remain with me?’ Mom said, and I replied, ‘Of course.’
I walked upstairs to inform her that her good buddy was present, and I came upon her. Discovering her has left me with both sadness and trauma.”
She also advised followers to get help from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
