4 People Were Slain in a Marijuana Farm Hostage Incident in Oklahoma

Authorities said four individuals were found shot dead and one injured at a huge marijuana plantation in northwest Oklahoma after a supposed hostage scenario.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) said in a statement that at the request of the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office, the agency was investigating what has been described as a quadruple homicide.

Around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, deputies received a call about a possible hostage scenario on a 10-acre marijuana farm on North 2760 Road west of Hennessey, about 55 miles northwest of Oklahoma City.

Officers arrived to find four persons dead from suspected gunshot wounds and one injured. According to an OSBI statement, the surviving victim was brought to a hospital in unknown condition.

According to Kingfisher County Sheriff Dennis Banther, a warrant was issued late Monday morning for the arrest of a suspect in the quadruple killing.

Banther stated that the suspect and the five victims — none of whom had been identified as of Monday — have ties to the farm and that the fatal shooting was the result of an inside quarrel, not a random act of violence.
